    HKEX’s proposed revisions of the Corporate Governance Code bring significant changes in various ways, including introducing regular board evaluations and further strengthened board independence and refreshment.     Directors’ duties remain a key focus of regulatory enforcement actions. What are the lessons we should learn from recent enforcement cases, and guidance from HKEX and other regulators?

    HK is expected to implement an uncertificated securities market (USM) in late 2025. What and how should listed companies get ready?

  • 2.15 - 3.45 pm ESG: new climate disclosures and beyond

    HKEX’s new ESG framework, which aligns with ISSB climate disclosures, will be implemented for financial years commencing 1 Jan 2025. In fact, the new climate requirements form part of the wider HK roadmap for the local adoption of ISSB standards. HKICPA is being charged with the responsibility to formulate sustainability disclosure standards for HK generally.

    We shall begin by highlighting some key areas of HKEX disclosure requirements, as well as an update on HK and global sustainability reporting trends.

    Leading corporations, from different industries and background, will share the corporate perspectives and practical tips in their ISSB climate disclosures journey.
